After your end-of-tenancy clean: checks and follow-up

Know what to check after the clean, how to report an agreed-scope omission and how an eligible return is arranged.

Check against the agreed scope

Use the written quotation and agreed checklist to review the work. Cleaning, existing wear, damage and new soiling are different matters. If you have an inspection requirement, discuss its timing before booking rather than assume a later inspection changes the service terms.

Report missed cleaning within 24 hours

Contact info@occlean.co.uk within 24 hours of completion. Include the job reference or postcode, the affected areas and supporting details or photographs where possible. This helps us assess whether the concern is a missed item within the agreed cleaning scope.

How a return visit works

For eligible cleaning omissions, OC arranges a no-charge return with the same cleaner or cleaners at our earliest convenience, subject to scheduling and safe access. We aim to return within 24 hours of the complaint where the schedule permits; this is not a guaranteed appointment time.

Agree access and protect the finished work

Tell us when access is available and if occupants, removals or trades have used the property since completion. Later new soiling is different from a cleaning omission. Your quotation and service terms set out the full conditions; your statutory rights are unaffected.

Cleaning and the deposit are separate

The cleaning service and eligible return address the agreed scope. Deposit decisions may also involve property condition, damage and other tenancy matters, so no deposit return is promised.
