Check the tasks before the price
Two quotations can look similar while covering different work. List the rooms and surfaces, visit frequency and priority tasks. For communal properties, include shared stairs and entrances; for gyms, changing facilities and equipment surfaces; for working studios, shared areas and the care needed around equipment.
Compare cleaner-hours
Two cleaners working for two hours provide four cleaner-hours. One cleaner working for two hours provides two. Compare the total labour commitment as well as how long the team is on site, and ask how the scope fits that time.
Confirm supplies and access
Identify who supplies products, equipment and consumables. OC normally uses the client’s products. If supplied products are needed, the options and responsibilities are agreed in the quote. Include access times, keys, security instructions, parking and any site induction requirements so the provider can assess the work properly.
Read the arrangement
Annual, monthly rolling and flexible services involve different commitments. An annual rate can depend on a 12-month agreement; rolling services have an agreed notice period; flexible work still has cancellation conditions for visits already booked. Ask how changes in hours, scope or costs affect the rate.
